This is an exciting idea to drastically cut the amount of waste involved in manufacturing electronic devices. We all know that our smart phone works great for a while, and then all of a sudden a button becomes unresponsive or the screen develops some type of weird streak down the side. It’s often just a single part of the phone that has made it unusable. But this doesn’t have to be the case, according to this video. Phonebloks aims to build phones out of separate, removable and replaceable blocks that all work together, but can easily be changed when one component becomes faulty. Check it out!
