MIT Media Lab: 3-D printing with variable densities
3D Printing for those of you not in the know, is an extremely brilliant technological advancement in design. Using various substances, such as plastic, metal or concrete, certain designed objects can be ‘printed’ into a three dimensional form. It is quite a trippy notion to consider especially when a company, such as Formlab, will soon release a new prototype for a low-cost and light-weight printer to perch at the end of your desk as a regular paper and ink printer would.
