In a country where an international war has been raging since 2001 and a civil war before that, women’s rights are often abused and forgotten. But a touching and rad shift is taking place in Afghanistan… Thanks to skateboarding.

Australian Oliver Percovich visited the country in 2007 with three skateboards and soon saw how much the local kids enjoyed the sport. So he set up a an NGO in Kabul which is not just a skate park, but a full functioning school with multimedia training. Forty percent of its students are girls.
