For many people the first sight of coconuts hanging from trees or piled high on the side of the road symbolises the beginning of our holidays. Fresh air, sunshine and of course trying out all the local delicacies. In Sri Lanka and much of the East, the coconut is widely used in food and drink, but that is not it’s only function.
