At last night’s Loerie Awards, there were just three Golds and no Grand Prixs awarded in the TV & Cinema Category.
In the over 90s section, Egg Films’ Terence Neale won Gold for Die Antwoord Fatty Boom Boom, which he co-directed with Ninja. Fatty Boom Boom also won a Craft Award for Kezia Eales’ production design, which featured Ninja’s set designs, mural designs and graffiti, as well as a Voodoo Room art directed by Roger Ballen. The music video has over 14 million views on YouTube.
Also in the over 90s section, Bouffant’s Dean Blumberg won Gold for Ster Kinekor Intersection (above), a blockbuster of an ad from FoxP2.
The only Gold Craft went to Paul Gilpin for his cinematography on Amstel The Boxer.
